Who are we?

The Give Back QC Charity is a Charity founded by Vivian-Anne Gittens, Angela Simpson and M Anne St John (GCM) in 2013.

History of the Give Back QC Charity

The Give Back QC Charity was founded in 2013, owing out of a need for the Queen's College school to have a sports facility after the school was relocated from Constitution Road, St Michael in 1989-90. Construction on the school's sports pavilion was never completed beyond the ground floor. Over the years, the building remained uncompleted, became a ruin and was overgrown with vegetation. It was demolished in 2013.

Our Purpose

Queen’s College, a leading secondary school in Barbados was established in 1883. It was originally a girl’s school and became co-ed in the late 1980's. The school has been recognised as a school of excellence - not only in the area of academic performance, but in the arts and in sports.

Our Vision is to develop a Sports Facility with multipurpose training classrooms outfitted with advanced technology. This facility will have specialised equipment (including a state-of-the-art gym and training facilities) designed to enhance players’ power, speed, agility, strength and confidence to improve their performance in sports.

We are not only committed to this project for the benefit of our students-athletes, but also those athletes from the four primary schools in nearby locations which have been adopted by Queen’s College during the past decade. The Charity will continue to meet the needs for development and expansion of sports, and also of other appeals made.

Board of Trustees

The Give Back QC Charity is governed by a Board of 3 Trustees. Funds raised are placed on a dedicated account under the purview of the Trustees.
